Well, actually...that vlog was made by Frederator (AT's production company), but not the actual AT staff. The video (and the entire YouTube channel it originated on) were removed shortly after it was released, and the guy in charge of making the video was fired. Apparently the folks at Frederator thought the video-makers were taking too much liberty with the characters by suggesting that PB and Marceline might be a couple. Very little has been said about the episode/vlog from the actual AT staff. One of the storyboard writers of the episode, Adam Muto, called the video “sensationalistic” and “gaudy.” The other writer Rebecca Sugar said, "It might seem like this episode is about friendship, but I wanted it to be about honesty!" and from what I've heard, she seems supportive of the fandom. Then there's Natasha Allegri who wasn't directly associated with the episode, but is a story board artist for the show (she came up with the genderswap idea for Fionna and Cake) and she has drawn numerous Bubbleline art pieces and posted them on her tumblr. So it seems like a mixed bag. One can only hope that they explore it more in the 4th season (as the 3rd season was mostly complete by the time 'What Was Missing' aired).

Whoa, sorry for the essay there. It's been a long, crazy road for fans of these two. =P

Perhaps she'll make an appearence in 'Lady and Peebles'? That episode sounds like it'll be a 'Fionna and Cake' style change of protagonists and since it sounds like if that is the case it'll be a girl-zone episode with PB saving Finn this time, we may see her speak to Marceline.

Adam Muto's description sounded completely offensive... 'sensationalistic'? WTF?
Glad to see that you were helping other people find these links too. xD It's a shame we haven't seen any more action yet in the 4th season... dammit, we've seen only two episodes with Marceline in at all and for most of both she was a monster. We need to see Marceline and PB in the same damn location to get a gist of their relationship...
